Friends of the Land O' Lakes Library Meeting - Wednesday, March 18th, 6:30pm

Would you like to get together with like-minded people who love their library? Have you been wondering how you can contribute? Then join us for our Friends of the Land O' Lakes Library meeting and see how you can help support your library.

We'll be discussing ideas and going over upcoming programs such as our ever-popular Friends Book Sale to raise money for library programs and events.

Wednesday, March 18th at 6:30pm.

New members and volunteers are always welcome!

No registration required and refreshments are provided.

Teen Gaming Night - February 27th, 6:00-9:00pm

Can't get enough Guitar Hero? Always wanted to try your skills at Wii? Great! Bring your friends and come on in for a free night of teen gaming. We've got the latest in high tech console gaming: Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Wii Fit, Rock Band, Halo 2 & 3, Guitar Hero 3, DDR, and much more.

Teen gaming is held every month. Visit us on Friday, February 27th from 6:00-9:00pm.

Teens only. Refreshments provided.
No prior registration, however, parental permission slips are required for mature rated games.

Family Night Out - Monday, March 2nd, 6:30-8:00pm

Looking for affordable family activities? Join us at the library on the first Monday each month from 6:30-8:00pm for our exciting (and free) Family Night Out!

You and your whole family will enjoy games, crafts, stories, and more with a different theme each month.

At our event on Monday, March 2nd we'll be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday! The master of rhyming stories was born on March 2, 1904. Join us to celebrate his life and art.

Mondays, March 2nd, April 6th and May 4th.

All ages are welcome to attend. No prior registration is required.

Kids Crafts - Saturday, March 14th, 2:00pm

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of crafts on Saturdays, with a different craft theme each month.

Our next Saturday is March 14th at 2:00pm. The theme will be "St. Patrick's Day." Get some luck of the Irish as we make leprechans, shamrocks and more!

Free for the whole family and all materials are provided.
Elementary age recommended. No prior registration.

Teen Movie Tuesday - The Dark Knight - February 17th, 6:00-8:00pm

Who doesn't love Batman? Nominated for 8 Academy Awards, "The Dark Knight" stars Christian Bale and Heath Ledger (rated PG-13.)

Join us this Tuesday, February 17th at 6:00pm to watch the coolest of cool and enjoy free popcorn and drinks.

Friends of the Library Eastside Luncheon - Wednesday, March 11th, 12:00pm

Would you like to have a delicious lunch, enjoy a great musical performance and have a wonderful afternoon, all while supporting your Library?

Then join us for our annual Friends of the Library Eastside Luncheon to be held at the Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, March 11th at 12:00pm. In addition to a nice lunch, we'll have entertainment by Chris Kahl who will present "A Musical Journey Through Florida" featuring original songs and stories about the Sunshine State.

Proceeds go to the Friends of the Library to support library programs. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 9th and are $15 for Friends of the Library members and $20 for guests.
