Just Add Water Summer Reading Program!

Our first Elementary SRC program was a huge hit. We had over 130 kids and 60 parents join us for this awesome program where all you had to do to make a cool craft was "just add water!" If you missed this program be sure to join us next Wednesday, June 23rd @ 2:00pm for Coral Creations or if you are just a little bit older (grades 4-7) be sure to stop by on Fridays @ 2:00pm for our tween programs.

Miss Karen shows us how to fold-a-story.

Just add water to your paint and you can create a beautiful picture.

There were so many kids we had to bring out an extra table!

Just add water to your fish and see the beautiful colors mix together.

Elementary SRC Kickoff Party Pictures!!

We had over 60 kids and 40 parents in attendance at our Elementary Summer Reading Club Kickoff Party featuring Didgeridoo Down Under! If you haven't signed up for the Summer Reading Club yet, you still have time. Sign up now and read and report on 6 books before the end of July to be invited to the final party! Please also join us for our weekly programs on Wednesdays at 2:00pm for grades K-3 and Fridays at 2:00pm for grades 4-7.

The kids were jumping like kangaroos as Darren Liebman of Didgeridoo Down Under played the didgeridoo.

Playing the didgeridoo is not as easy as it looks. You have to blow out through your mouth at the same time you breath in through your nose, explained Darren.

Darren taught us a lot about Australia and about protecting our planet by reducing, reusing and recycling.

For the grand finale Darren played the didgeridoo and the kids acted out his story by pretending to be different animals using their silliest dance moves.
