Successful Friends of the Library Membership Drive

The Friends of the Land O' Lakes Library just wrapped up a special membership drive.  New and renewing members of the Friends of the LOL Library who registered during the membership drive were entered into a drawing for a beautiful reading-related gift basket.  The prize drawing was held on February 27, and the lucky winner was new member Sue Dubendorfer.

Land O' Lakes Library is Wild About Books

Join us for a fun filled book celebration during our Family Night Out event.  Hear the story Wild About Books, make and create awesome crafts and become wild about reading.

Also, we will be holding a Children's Book Drive with the assistance of The Friends of the Land O' Lakes Library and Oakstead Elementary School.  They are collecting new and/or gentle used children's books for the library.

Looking For Local Authors!

If you are an author or you know an author in the area, we are looking for authors to participate in our Local Author Fair, scheduled for Saturday, March 20, from 1-4 pm.

Through the Local Author Fair we hope to encourage authors, both published and unpublished, by allowing participants and attendees to share their work and discuss the writing and publishing process.

Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their works to sell and autograph.  They may also display galleys or posters of their work at their tables.  We request that 10 percent of all sales be donated to the Friends of the Land O' Lakes Library to help support future programming.

Participants will be supplied with a table and chairs.
